Donate Furniture and white goods to charity
Donate furniture and improve somebody’s life today
Live in Kingston, Wandsworth or Merton and have second-hand furniture in good condition? You can donate your unwanted furniture to our charity and help the local community.
Please see below for the items we are able to accept.
Get in touch and one of our volunteers will arrange a collection time, pick up the furniture from your home and give it to those most in need.

What furniture do we collect?
We are only able to accept items in very good condition and without stains or damage. We do not take any soft furnishings, mattresses or washing machines. Disposing of unsuitable items is costly, so we can only accept unwanted furniture donations that meet our requirements. All sofas must have the fire safety label attached.
Our most commonly requested items are:

Sofas

Bed frames

Dining tables & chairs

Bunk beds

Bedroom storage

Microwaves

Desks

Fridge freezers

Electric cookers

Chest of drawers
Provided that your item is in good condition and free of damage and stains you can donate it. Please email our volunteers to arrange a collection: donatefurniture@donslocalaction.org
What furniture do we NOT collect?

Washing Machines

Tumble Dryers

Sofa Beds

Mattresses

Small Appliances

Soft Furnishings

Furniture poverty is not always visible, however, at least 14 million people in the UK can’t afford one or more essential household items*. End Furniture Poverty recently found that there was a significant positive impact on financial security and mental health of the furniture recipients.**

A man we’ve been supporting for the last 10 months moved into a flat yesterday. He’s been homeless for 35 years, until now. We couldn’t be happier, thanks to Dons Local Action Group for helping sort out furniture for the flat!
