Our year in numbers: Dons Local Action Group 2024 Impact Report

2024 was another fantastic year for DLAG, and the publishing of the 2024 Impact Report puts that into numbers. With well over £1 million of support generated, DLAG continues to be a lifeline for many people living in South West London.

£938,817 is the total value of food distributed this year, including 15,249 food boxes delivered to households and 18,679 distributed to partners. Food is collected directly from supermarket shoppers before being sorted into food boxes at our central hub for distribution to both households and partner organisations. The addition of a new van in 2024 has enabled us to make more deliveries and we hope to further increase these numbers for 2025.

1,201 furniture items were distributed to 262 households during the year, with an approximate value of £67,625. Items included beds, tables and fridge freezers, all of which make a huge difference to those in need.

322 devices were donated as part of the Keep Kids Connected initiative which were then distributed to schools, higher education establishments, charities, councils, refugee organisations and community groups. As well as the profound effect this can have on recipients, ensuring that they don’t go without, refurbishing and rehoming electronics has saved 540kg of tech from going to landfill.

Lastly, 1,000 (and counting!) is the magic number –  the number of DLAG volunteers that make all of the above possible. From supermarket stall shifts to sorting food packages in the hub to delivery drivers and outreach support, every single hour of time donated is what creates this incredible impact.

If you’d like to dive deeper into the numbers – including fundraising events as well as an in-depth look at each area of impact – put the kettle on, make a cup of tea and click https://online.flippingbook.com/view/354911742/ to read the 2024 Impact Report in full.
